ITS TIME TO RECONNECT WITH WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL SO GOOD INSIDE
Today has been so special, I’m currently with my 2 sisters, and we came together this morning to practise self-love and a reconnection,
a sacred sisterhood a sacred womanhood
It felt so powerful to be together, as it always does when we come together to heal, be present and feel safe to let go
there was laughter tears deep presence awareness awakening bodies and so much love
From a young age me and my sisters use to argue a lot, fighting for attention to be heard, to feel seen, it was pretty fraught for many years in our household,
so much tension and needs not being meet, boundaries being stepped over,
and saying yes to please another,
this all happened way to much
bad habits became toxic stagnant and ingrained for to long
emotions were always so high and food was the go-to to-cover-it-all-up, the place to numb suppress hide and pretend everything’s ok
Unspoken words got pushed down
not spoken for fear of making another uncomfortable
for fear of being judged by family
for fear of being judged
for being
who we are
So much suppression
Lead to
emotions being unfelt
bad habits being repeated
physical body showing symptoms
Deep sadness
Hypothyroid
Stagnation of self-expression
Not living true
…
stodgy foods to feel the comfort and love
crunchy foods to relief the stress overwhelm and frustration held deep inside the heart
salty foods to avoid the trust to open up
and surrender to life’s flow
sweet treats all the time to feel the joy and fun – for a moment, as it was deeply missed day to day
Food was used as an emotional escape daily in our house
It was easier to eat and talk food, and ignore the truth – then speak it
It was a comfort zone
It felt safe here
It felt familiar
It was like that baby blanket
Well the removal of that baby blanket those deep childhood wounds
the need to stay familiar
the pressure to fit in
the fear of being different
and standing up as
an individual in your power
the power of coming together to reconnect to your bliss
to follow your bliss
to do the work
to come home to the light
the grace of being present for another who’s in pain,
when you’ve been there
to now hold that strength in your heart from a place of reconnection to serve another
this has been the greatest gift of all
and is the greatest gift of all
to serve another
and to be served by another from a pure heart
to have embraced the journey of pain
to now embrace the journey of freedom
It’s time to reconnect to your bliss
What are you saying no to that in your heart is a yes? and what are you saying yes to that in your heart is a no?
